ProHealth Pilates Studio
Imagine a workout program that you enjoy and anticipate, one that energizes you, and leaves you refreshed and rejuvenated-both physically and mentally. The Pilates Method of body conditioning is the ultimate body workout, and will help you do all of this and more!
The Pilates Method is not just exercise. It is a series of controlled movements designed to develop strength, increase flexibility, and lengthen muscles while achieving total body awareness. It is a customized workout, utilizing Pilates equipment and mat work, that provides you with the stretching and breathing benefits of yoga and the strengthening benfits of weight training. Because your mind is required to engage with your body to perform the movements correctly, you experience a new awareness of muscle function and control.
The Pilates Method of body conditioning was developed by Joseph Pilates over 70 years ago. The method emphasizes balance, control, focus, and stability. Energy to nourish the muscles is sustained through controlled breathing to improve function of the heart and lungs.

Who Benefits From Pilates?
Those wanting a healthier body
Women rave about the transformation of their "problem areas," enjoying a longer, leaner, and stronger physique. Men enjoy the more sculpted, athletic look provided by Pilates. Not only do bodies look better, but increased flexibility and core strength makes them more functional and less prone to injury.
Professional and Recreational Athletes
Power is generated at the core and is expressed through the extremities. Athletes, professional and recreational, including runners, swimmers, golfers, triathletes, dancers, gymnasts, and tennis players, can supplement their traditional training in order to develop balance, stability, and stamina. Pilates can "fill the gap" that exists within your normal training regimen.
Those with orthopedic conditions
Pilates training may also be appropriate for individuals continuing to recover from or manage back, knee, or shoulder conditions.
Those with more challenging conditions
Pilates can assist those with pelvic floor dysfunction, recent / current pregnancy, older adults, and those with chronic pain or disease.
Why a Private / Semi-Private Setting?
Controlled, specific movements and breathing are critical components allowing an individual to enjoy the benefits of Pilates. Particularly in the case of Pilates, going through the motions is not enough. Private and semi-private instruction allows for needed individual attention. Everyone is different and requires guidance in different areas. The education alone is of significant value. ProHealth applies both mat and equipment training from basic beginner levels to significantly advanced training so our clients get the most out of their time and investment. Moreover, ProHealth's private, spa-like setting is intended to provide an escape from the stresses of everyday life, not to introduce more.

| Kettlebell Training Now Available Lisa Christen and Michele Drew have both received their HKC Kettlebell instructor certification and are available to provide instruction for private, semi-private, or small group sessions. |
“You will feel better in 10 sessions,
look better in 20 sessions,
and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
